This recording is the first time these musicians have taken the stage as one “Live” band; and they were having a fantastic time! For me personally, it felt so natural, like I was back home as a young boy listing Burning Spear or Bunny Wailer. It was nostalgic in such a beautiful and sentimental way. All I had to do was relax, play guitar, and sing from my heart. The masters worked their magic; Horsemouth rocking the drums, Flabba rumbling the bass, Obeah popping and moving along, while Dalton put forth the sparkle. I think our instant rapport, caught everyone by surprise. We connected from the very first session – the musicians and the sound, it was true roots reggae – pure, authentic, and wonderful.
